Hi, I’m Karlijn—founder and lead stylist at Snippets Hair Co. in beautiful Downtown Lacombe.

My passion for hairstyling started early, during high school cosmetology in 2013, where I also began my salon apprenticeship. After graduating top of my class and earning a scholarship to the Academy of Hair Design, I chose instead to attend MC College in Edmonton to pursue their Apprenticeship program. I graduated in 2016 with the Apprenticeship Award and have been working full-time behind the chair ever since.

In May 2021, I opened Snippets Hair Co. with the goal of creating a space that feels both professional and relaxed—one that blends seamlessly into the charm of historic downtown while offering a fresh, modern experience. From day one, my incredible team and I have been dedicated to delivering personalized service, expert technique, and a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

When I’m not in the salon, you can usually find me soaking up life by the lake with my boyfriend Ethan, building a life full of little joys and peaceful moments. My drink of choice, no matter the season? A slushie—or anything sweet, cold, and refreshing.

While I’m currently not accepting new clients, I encourage you to book with one of our amazing stylists—they bring so much talent, energy, and warmth to our salon.
